I’m going to the Poor Boyz Movie Premiere on Reasons in NYC @ the RED Bull Space tonight, planning on taking the LIRR in around dinner time, then grab some food, then off to the party!!! I’ll try to post photos and updates from/after the event.
Well, it’s the next day and I am now able to find the time to update for the premiere…. Well i guess not, never really got around to posing photos and a full update so here we go…
Syl and I took the LIRR into the city, then the subway to 4th St and met up with our friends at a Korean Restaurant on Carmine St downtown. We grabbed a drink there while the rest of our crew finished up their drinks and dinner then headed out to the premiere.
We arrived at the Red Bull Gallery around 8pm and as luck would have it we were all on the list and got right in, like we were important or something, almost, dare I say, VIP. The invite stressed the point that:
“… I hate VIP/Exclusive bullshit because although I now get invited to these kinds of events, it wasn’t long ago I was a starry eyed kid being told, “No, you can’t come in. You’re not on the list”
Fuck that shit. This is the ski industry, not an episode of The Hills.”

Looks like they got what they wanted. Once inside we were greeted by the usual ski industry types, their friends, their significant others, and their not so significant others. The gallery was set up with 2 Red Bull bars at each end that served only RBV’s and Wine, or at least that’s the impression that I got, and a DJ up on a small stage. Throughout the rest of the gallery was black couches and chairs facing a trio of large windows.
I only knew a handful of people at the premiere (7-10) and didn’t recognize anyone else from memory, the only way I could locate any of the Pros was because they were the ones wearing tight pants, shirts that read “I like girls who like girls”, headbands, overgrown hair, and one of those “not so significant others” latched to their side. There were only a couple of guys who had this look going, so I’m assuming the rest of the pros were a little more incognito.
We grabbed some drinks and shot the shit for a half hour and the movie got started.
So im lazy, and didnt finish this post.
So all in all Simon Dumont’s part was out of control, the helmet cams rocked, and following guys off jumps in the air while filming was SICK!!! The movie rocked, and this photo will end this post.
In NYC for AutoCAD training @ Microdesk on 7th & 30th, bored, hope we cover anything useful today.
Worked at the Yankee stadium garages yesterday. We had to survey 2 sections to determine where new pedestrian entry ways can be located. Nothing of real interest to note, did the work and left, had a good hotdog, saw lots of people, realized there was a crazy large skate park right next to the new stadium, I’ll have to check it out and get photos next time I’m there.

So as of right now it’s a no go in the car A4 wagon. It isnt exactly what I wanted, and felt a little sluggish. I would rather wait it out, save up, and find a Audi A3 3.2L. It’s what needs to happen… Now the search begins…
Took me almost a month to write anything new, I’m no good at this.
Nothing too new to write, car is still in the process, Audi of Huntington’s service really sucks. After trying to test drive the car a total of three times and the battery being dead, finally the fourth time was the charm and I got to drive the car, it was nice, not quite as fast as I would like, but very comfortable and nice to drive. Price is good, the Audi of Huntington just has poor incompetent help. Hopefully they will realize the terrible service they gave me and hook me up with a good price on the car or throw in some nice free options.
Either way I will attempt to locate something else ware and put my 23k in the hands of someone who will take care of customers.

I’m taking the train to NYC for work this morning, apparently I have emergency engineering work there, whatever that means…
This morning reminded me again why I love the iPhone 2.0 software. Today the culpret of my love is AOL radio which allows me to listen to Opie & Anthoney on the train ride in. Now I know any old portible FM radio can do that… But I don’t carry one of those around in my pocket. On the 50 min between 8:10 and 9 I am extremely entertained and it makes the trip fly by. Then I have to find something else to do for the next 25 minutes of my trip, like write this post.
Hopefully this blog will be a good place to dump photos that iI take throught my daily adventures. Well I’m in the tunnel now, time to hit the subway.
